Almost 50 general education institutions in a number of districts of the country suspended the students’ attendance at classes owing to the unfavorable weather conditions. Of these, 40 institutions applied remote learning, while the others didn’t have classes owing to the power outage, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
For the same reasons, 54 kindergartens were closed. Two kindergartens have a reduced work programs.
Due to the elements, 52 student transportation routes were suspended and 2,887 students could not get to classes.
