The children’s allowance for a child who suffers from a disease will be provided until this turns 18, not 16, as now. In the March 31 sitting, the MPs passed armaments to the Law on Allowances for Temporary Incapacity for Work and other Social Welfare, IPN reports.
Communist MP Elena Bodnarenco, who drafted the relevant bill, said the initiative suggests providing parents with allowances for looking after children suffering from an oncological disease or with disabilities, but who suffer from an intercurrent disease, until the recipient turns 18.
Oxana Domenti, chairwoman of the Parliament’s Commission on Human Rights, said that now the given allowance is offered up to the age of 16. According to her, the Government endorsed this bill.
The legislative initiative was passed in two readings by the votes of 92 MPs.
