A thief in a church

In a short time after he had broken the door of the “Sfantul Mucenic Teodor Tiron” Cathedral, a 29 years old man was arrested by policemen of State Guard Department of Chisinau municipality. According to MAI press service, policemen, alerted by the alarm have arrived urgently to the cathedral, found on the young man two boxes for donations, where 539 lei were. The suspect was transported to the Police Precint of the Centru district of Chisinau municipality, and its employees are collecting proofs in order to start a dossier according to article186 of the Penal Code of Moldova “Thievery”. According to legislation in effect, the persons guilty of committing such a felony, risks a fine up to 6,000 lei, or 3 years imprisonment. Since the beginning of the year, the employees of the State Guard Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs discovered 89 serious felonies, and managed to arrest 13,168 persons suspected of committing different administrative offences. The staff of the sub-division ensures the guarding and security of about 20,500 objects, including 761 with bodyguards, 5,414 – technical guard, 9,667 apartments and 4,614 places equipped with security systems.
