The authorities of Israel, Germany, Bulgaria and other states recommend their citizens to immediately leave the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, which is outside the constitutional control, in connection with the recent incidents reported there, IPN reports

The a non-resident Ambassador designate of Israel to Moldova Joel Lion said on Twitter that Israel calls on its citizens to leave Transnistria as soon as possible due to the deteriorating security situation. It also advises that any upcoming travel should be cancelled.

The German Federal Foreign Office also discourages trips to the Transnistrian region as the security situation in Transnistria has deteriorated. The German authorities said the Embassy of Germany in Chisinau cannot offer consular assistance to the German citizens who are in Transnistria.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria recommended the Bulgarian citizens to refrain from any trip to the Republic of Moldova, while those who are in Moldova to take steps and leave the country by the available means of transport given the deterioration of the situation in the Republic of Moldova and its neighborhood.

The U.S. Embassy urges the U.S. citizens in Transnistria to depart immediately following the explosions that occurred in Tiraspol and near Mayak in the breakaway Transnistria region on April 25 and 26.

Canada also advised its citizens to avoid traveling in Transnistria given the risk of an armed conflict there. If citizens of Canada are there, these are urged to leave immediately as the country’s capacity to provide consular services in the region is limited.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova said that the updating of travel advisories is a common practice and the assessment of the opportunity of issuing an alert level is carried out according to the distinct national criteria.
