A minor “blew up” the Jehovah’s Witnesses Congress

Over 4,000 persons were evacuated, at the end of last week from the Green Theatre in Valea Morilor Park, where the Congress of Jehovah’ Witnesses should be held. The police reacted in this way to a phonecall announcing a bomb in that place. According to the Press Center of the General Police Station, as result of the operative intervention of the policemen and the employees of the MAI specialized service, the location was inspected in detail, but no bomb was found. Concomitantly, investigation measures were taken in order to find the informer. As result, the alleged author of the phone call was arrested, a teenager aged 17, of Rabnita town, who was brought by his mother, most probably against his will at the Congress of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The misfortunate joke ended with a penal case according to the art.281 of the Penal Code of Moldova, for hooliganism. In case if the minor is found guilty, his parents might be fined up to MDL 20,000.
