800 workers and 60 vehicles involved in snow cleanup

The special municipal services engaged over 800 workers and about 60 special vehicles in snow removal works on the streets of Chisinau. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, director of the municipal road maintenance enterprise “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari said that 26 vehicles started to clear the main streets of Chisinau of snow at 4am. By 8.00, the workers spread 286 cubic meters of antiskid material. From 10.00, by two Kamaz trucks with take salt and sand mixture to every district of Chisinau and the workers will speared it. As many as 70 vehicles will clean the snow from the main arteries of Chisinau on the night of January 26. The workers will work in three shifts round the clock, until the snowfall stops. Eliferii Haruta, head of the Green Areas Managing Association “Spatii Verzi”, said that over 200 persons are now cleaning the parks of Chisinau. They sweep the sidewalks. Five vehicles are spreading antiskid material. The head of the Public Amenities Division Petru Gontea said that 20 tractors and 15 HAKO vehicles started to clear the sidewalks and roads in quarters at 9am. About 600 persons are cleaning the sidewalks, entrances to apartment buildings and waste collection places.
