A number of 80 medicines were recently authorized in Moldova for the first time. Of these, 68.8% are produced in the European Union, while 4.8% are of local make.
In a response to an inquiry made by IPN News Agency, the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices said applications to be issued with certificates for importing the new medicines haven’t been yet submitted.
Most of the authorized new drugs are intended for treating cardiovascular diseases (51.16%), nervous system diseases (11.83%), and respiratory system diseases (11.3%).
