About 70% of the consumers in Chisinau have remained without hot water this morning as a result of an accident, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the administration of the heat supplier SA Termocom, the pumping station No. 5 stopped working at about 10am owing to a voltage drop. Consequently, a hydraulic accident happened in the lines connecting the thermoelectric plants CET 2 and CET 1 and two conductors on Vadul lui Voda and Sarmizegetusa streets broke. “Intervention teams are working to remove the consequences. Union Fenosa is to blame for the accident and will have to cover the costs,” said Termocom director Mihail Cernei. Approximately 1,500 tonnes of water were lost. The hot water supply is off in Centru, Buicani and Botanica districts.
