7 million lei to be allocated for financial aid

Some of the country’s socially vulnerable families, who are raising children of school age, will receive one-time payments as schooling aid before September 1. Hence, 7 million lei have been allotted from the state budget and will be distributed via local social support funds, Info-Prim Neo reports. The local funds will establish the categories of beneficiaries and the amount of aid to be allotted, along with the boards of local education institutions and public commissions for assessing aid needs, which are appointed by the town halls. In Chisinau, 4.626 million lei were allotted for similar aid from the municipal budget. Thus, overall, 11.6 million lei, i.e. 344,000 lei more than last year, will be offered as schooling aid for vulnerable families with children.
