More than 2,000 students from 59 villages and towns didn’t get to school today owing to the snowy roads. According to the Ministry of Education, 65 schools stopped work following the blizzard.
The Ministry’s press officer Gabriela Stirbu said the given schools are located in the districts of Cahul, Cantemir, Causeni, Stefan Voda, Taraclia and the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. School attendance in these districts decreased. In other districts, it was decided to shorten the classes.
The Ministry of Education is to take a decision as to the method of teaching the overdue lessons in the given schools.
