Over 100 persons took part in greening activities in the forest-parks of Chisinau in the first half of March 29. Contacted by IPN, head of the Green Areas Association Eliferii Haruta said that about 600 saplings of ashes, acacias and willow trees were planted in the period.
The trees were planted in the forest-park “Rascani” of Ciocana district and in the park “Mircesti” of Rascani district. The saplings were bought by two economic entities. The municipality provided tools and water tanks.
Eliferii Haruta said that a large number of trees will be planted this spring. Today’s works were needed to restore the areas where damaged and dry trees were cut in winter.
