5,800 trees planted in Chisinau in one day

Municipal workers and city councilmen on Saturday, March 27, planted some 5,800 trees as part of the national campaign “A Tree for Our Everlastingness”, which will run through April 16, Info-Prim Neo reports. Chisinau's chief arborist Eliferie Haruta has told today's ordinary meeting of the City Hall that during the tree-planting event there were cleansed 75 hectares of city land. Tudor Maniv, the head of the waste disposal division, added that a total of 486 m3 of rubbish were removed. Mayoral advisor Lilian Carp said the municipal authorities were supported during the tree-planting event by veterans, National Army personnel and civil society.
