5,500 graduates disputed, this year, the results of the BAC exams.
The head of the Pre-University Institutions Evaluation Department of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Ion Spinei, announced that 5,500 graduates were dissatisfied with the marks of the BAC exams. The most of appeals (7.5%) are for the Romanian Language test, followed by mathematics (6.3%), history (5.1%), geography (4.9%) and chemistry (4.6%). According to Spinei, of 1,000 marks at mathematics, disputed by graduates, 200 were changed by the commission, the other 800 cases the marks remained the same.
According to him, the repeated session of BAC exams for the graduates will take place on July 3-8.
According to the deputy head of the Municipal Education, Science, Youth and Sport Department, Zinaida Popescu, there were totaled only the data regarding the appeals of the gymnasium graduates. Of 11,000 school leavers of IX-th forms, 608 pupils addressed appeals. The majority of them, 340, of the lyceums „Gheorghe Asachi”, „Spiru Haret”, „Prometeu”, and „Mihai Eminescu” did not agree with the marks for the Romanian language test. The other 147 graduates of 23 education institutions disputed the marks at the mathematics exam, and the others – at physics.
Zinaida Popescu notes that the majority of appeals were solved in pupils’ favour.
