500 apartment blocks from Chisinau, which gathered huge debts for heating and waste water, will not be connected to the central heating system, a press statement of “Termocom” JCS announced, cited by Info-Prim Neo.
The heating supplier brings as an argument a Governmental disposal, according to which delivering heat is allowed only when debts are fully paid.
“Termocom” has announced intention to sue the consumers with debts bigger than one thousand lei. On the whole, this figure constitutes 32.250 apartments, and over 14 thousand proceedings were forwarded to courts.
About a month ago, during a working meeting Premier Tarlev requested unconditioned heating during the cold season for all consumers from Chisinau connected to the central heating system, and hot water should be delivered, according to his statements, all year round.
To the date of September 29, consumers owed MDL 402 mln for heating, at the same time the rate of payment was 97.7%. To the same date in 2005, debts totaled to 400 mln with a payment rate of 95%.
Domestic consumers owe MDL 347.4 mln to “Termocom”. The biggest debtors, with 90 mln due, are the associations of dwellers from Ciocana and Botanica districts.
