50 apartment blocks of the capital will be switched off form the central heating system and hot water supply because of big debts for these services, according to SA „Termocom” press release.
According to it, the majority of blocks will be switched off in the Rascani district – 18, followed by Buiucani district - 11 blocks; Ciocana district - 10; Botanica district - 9 and Centru district - 2 apartment blocks.
The supplier notes that these blocks are managed by the Associations of Privatized Dwellings Owners and Dwelling Construction Cooperatives, which did not respect the debt payment schedule, established jointly with „Termocom”. According to it, the administrations of these blocks were warned, in May, about the risk of being switched off in case they do not pay the debts.
At the same time, the supplier highlights that the inhabitants of these blocks will be reconnected to the central heating system and hot water system after they pay their debts.
The total amount of the consumers’ debts to SA „Termocom” is over 300 million lei; the majority of debts belong to apartment consumers.
