5 specialists to be instructed in domains of project management and attracting funds in Riga

Business Consulting Institute is carrying out a project, providing the selection of 5 persons to be instructed in Riga during two weeks, in the domain of designing and management of projects, as well as attracting funds for the development of the Municipality of Chisinau. The institution is to announce a competition in this respect, and those who will participate must have good knowledge in English, computer and must have a specialisation in economy, Mihai Roscovan, the director of Business Consulting Institute, says. The project appeared as result of the collaboration between NGOs in Chisinau and Latvia, and of the Moldovan-Latvian forum, which was held in Chisinau two months ago. The Latvian party offers a system of management and helps us instructing experts, who would later administrate the process of drawing out projects, finding necessary funds, as well as implementing projects, Roscovan says. The only duty of the Chisinau City Hall is to create a municipal structure – a project management department, also it must hire those 5 experts, as well as to buy this system for half of the price. According to Mihai Roscovan, the 5 persons are to be instructed in the domain of project management till summer, so that in the second half of the summer they would propose at least 5 projects to be implemented in the Municipality of Chisinau. At present, most of the city’s infrastructure development projects are implemented by means of the budgetary sources. According to the representatives of the City Hall, no project is currently run by investors in Chisinau. Business Consulting Institute is a NGO providing services in the economic and social domains. The mission of the BCI is to unite the efforts of consultants and trainers in order to apply modern methods in enterprises, as well as within the central and local public administration bodies, in the context of structural changes in Moldova.
