5 companies to launch investment projects in Tracom industrial park

Five companies were selected to become residents of the industrial park “Tracom”, Info-Prim Neo learned from a press release of the Ministry of Economy. The companies were selected in a contest which involved presenting investment projects. The winning companies are StarNet, Moldcell Moldova, Micro Cell, Elit Decor, and Mobile SRL. The ICT company StarNet was selected for its project “StarNet Business and Development IT Park”, which involves building a complex of facilities destined for Moldova's ICT sector. The estimated amount of investments is $3 million and the estimated number of jobs to be created will be 200. Services will be provided to customers from both Moldova and European Union countries. Moldcell was selected also for an information technology project which involves building a regional-level data center to serve both local and international companies. Investment was estimated at 120 million lei and the number of new jobs at 50. Micro Cell will create 83 jobs in a $5 million project that involves assembling construction, farm and transportation equipment. Elit Decor will assemble lathes for timber, stone and metal processing, with investments estimated at 13 million lei and with 15 new jobs. The production will be destined for the local market and for the markets of Ukraine and Romania. Mobile SRL will build a clothing factory in a $4 million project that will employ 50 people. In total, 10 Moldovan companies presented bids for the contest.
