450 rescuers and firefighters ready to intervene on Christmas night

As many as 450 employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations are ready to intervene with 150 rescue and fire trucks on Christmas night to prevent or extinguish firers, IPN reports.

According to firefighter Sergiu Josan, about 200 fire prevention specialists travelled to 1,492 churches all over the country to train church employees how to react in case of fire. The specialists are inspecting access ways and emergency exits and instruct to set up special places for lighting candles.

Priest Oleg Vieru, of “Miracle of Saint Archangel Michael” Church of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, called on the parishioners to be attentive to sources of fire and to take care of each other during services and not only.

The fire safety rules should be obeyed at home too. The sources of open fire should not be allowed unsupervised or within reach of children. The heaters and stoves with visible defects should not be used.

In case of emergencies, the people should immediately call the 112 Emergency Service.
