41% of the Moldovans prefer to receive the salaries ‘in envelope’, i.e. by avoiding paying taxes, shows a poll commissioned by the debt collection company Incaso. Such a wish was expressed mainly by the respondents aged between 18 and 49, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the company, 42% of those polled prefer to receive the salary officially, even if the sum is lower. This is primarily typical of doctors, teachers and engineers, who work mostly for state-run companies. 3% of the respondents said they receive salaries otherwise, while 14% didn’t know how to answer.
The survey shows that the young people are the least concerned about tomorrow. Today for them represents a higher salary, no matter how they receive it. But those who are older tend to stability and want a stable job and salary so that they have a decent pension afterward.
The poll was carried out over the phone and covered a sample of 1,170 persons older than 18 from all over the country.
