About 400 persons are protesting near Vadul lui Voda, demanding taking away the trilateral peacekeeping post that lies on both banks of the Nistru. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, jurist of Promo-Lex Association Pavel Postica, who is on the spot, said that the persons protested for several hours on left bank and then went to the right bank. He informed that a working group was created to negotiate the removal of the concrete blocks and the disarming of sentinels with the military men. The jurist also said that there were several provocations and altercations and the road had been blocked since the start of the protest. Only the drivers who needed to get to the other bank immediately were allowed to pass. The protests stated after January 1, when the 18-year-old Vadim Pisari from Pirita was wounded fatally from a gun by a member of the peacekeeping post set up near Vadul lui Voda. The Joint Military Command agreed to disarm the military men in the security zone and reduce their number, but it did not happen. The concrete blocks removed from the roadway were put back unilaterally by Transnistrian peacekeepers.
