400 employees of Moldova’s Railways will have to change workplace

About 400 employees of IS “Caile Ferate din Moldova” (“Moldova’s Railways”) will have to change their workplace as a result of the reorganization of the company. Director Vitalie Struna has told Info-Prim Neo that the employees will not be made redundant, but will be offered jobs in other units of the company. “A subdivision of the company, which earlier erected buildings, will be liquidated. We are not a construction company or a construction ministry. Many of the subdivision’s employees do not like it as they did nothing during 20 years. When we told them to become involved in installing lines and in painting markings, they refused. The contracts will not be terminated. They are offered other posts,” said Vitalie Struna. The employees are dissatisfied with the changes taking place at the company. They say they are forced to transfer to other units with lower salaries.
