4 people drown over past 24 hours in Moldova

4 people, including a 12-year-old minor, drowned the last 24 hours in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Emergency Department. A minor of 12, living in Balti, lost his life in a lake near Parjota village, Rascani district. He went to swim, not being supervised by adults. His mother alerted when noticing her son was not returning. He could not be rescued. A woman of 68 years, living Giurgiulesti village, Cahul district, drowned in the Prut river. Her corpse was taken out by fellow-villagers. No circumstances are known as yet. A man of 44 drowned in the pond near the village of Halahora de Sus, Briceni district. He was at a party on the shore. Being intoxicated, he entered the water from which he could not get out. Another man of 46, an inhabitant of Baius village, Leova, drowned as he was fishing. 22 people have drowned in Moldova since the beginning of the year, 12 of which – in June.
