As many as 380,000 people have crossed the state border during the week before Easter, by 35,000 more than a week before, the Border Police has said in a communiqué. On Easter, the border was crossed by 18,600 people, IPN reports.
Last week, the employees of the Border Police identified 130 people who violated the border and migration legislation of Moldova. Most of them violated the border regime, tried to illegally cross the border or had forged documents.
In the period between April 10 and May 4, the Border Police and the Customs Service is working at full capacity so as to avoid congestion during the Easter holydays and the May 1 mini-vacation.
