The main reasons for such a high death rate are: malformations, the cardio-vascular and digestive diseases, as well as the intoxications, traumas and murders. Among the deceased during this period, 26 are babies smaller than one year, what is by 36,8 % more than during the same period of 2007. The number of marriages has dropped by 25%.
Local analysts consider this so unfavorable statistics is caused by the continuous fall of the living standard. According to the latest data of Transnistrian Trade Unions Confederation, the inflation was over 40% in May. The medicines – included in the list of vital ones – have grown more expensive by 20-30%.
