31 July is the deadline for making the overhauling

Car owners of the capital risk fines and confiscation of registration number for non-making the overhauling every year. The head of State Auto Inspectorate of Road Police Service, Ion Vorniceanu, said that a part of car owners did not make yet the overhauling, even this activity started on 2 January. In case when they will not overhaul the cars till 31 July, they risk fines of 100 lei and confiscation of registration number. Vorniceanu noted that in case of Chisinau inhabitants, the overhauling is made by road inspectors of the capital. Thus, car owners, depending on their home address, can address on Calea Orheiului 65, district Rascani, on the street Burebista 3, district Botanica, street Maria Dragan 36, district Ciocana, street Bulgara 40, district Centru and street Nicolae Costin 48, district Buiucani. Ion Vorniceanu noted that this set is made of the registration certificate, driving licence, medical certificate for 3 years, 2 cheques – for overhauling and tax for roads, insurance policy. In the same time, the car has to be equipped with first-aid kit; fire extinguisher and indicator for exceptional situations and not to have the windscreen and front windows darken. According to a government decision, all drivers will pas fingerprint identification, Vorniceanu mentioned. In order to facilitate this process and to inform the drivers necessary to make the overhauling, it was created a hotline. Dialling 27-43-96 interested persons can find out documents they need to pas the test. The overhauling at testing centres is done only to cars newly imported, as well as of passenger transport.
