The section of 31 august St between the streets Bănulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin was reopened to traffic in the morning of January 31. The works on the networks that were to be performed until February 17 were put off.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the General Public Transport and Communications Division Vitalie Butucel said that following the inspection of the perimeter, it was decided that the works to rehabilitate the sewer pipes and cablings will be performed together with the works on the water pipes so as not to close the street for two times. The works were planned for March – April.
The section of 31 august St between the streets Bănulescu-Bodoni and Pushkin had been inaccessible to traffic during December 8 - January 15 in connection with the Christmas Bazaar. Later, the municipality extended the restrictions in connection with the pipe laying works.
