Thirty Moldovan people who studied abroad and want to return home on a temporary or a permanent basis to work for private or public institutions will receive logistic assistance and financial support to cover the travel expenses and monthly allowances of 3,000 lei for a period of up to six months, IPN reports.

The contest is intended for people aged between 18 and 35 with higher education obtained abroad. The young people who are now abroad will be given priority, but those who recently returned home, not earlier than March 1, this year, can also apply.

Oxana Maciuca, migration and development assistant at the International Organization for Migration (IOM), said the financial support will be provided to applicants when jobs are identified for them. Precedence will be given to young people who want to work in the public sector.

The deadline for applications is October 1.

The contest is held within the project “Encouragement of public-private partnership for sustainable economic development in Moldova” that is financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Norway and implemented by the IOM Mission to Moldova, in partnership with the Moldovan Government.
