Fifteen children from Moldova and 15 children from Romania will rest together within a project titled “Unification of nature and culture through outdoor activities in border areas”. The project has been launched by the Association “Amici dei Bambini” Moldova in partnership with the Romanian Resource Center for Education and Family “Doxamus”, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a communiqué from “Amici dei Bambini” Moldova, during two weeks the children will be able to exchange experience at social and cultural levels. The Moldovan children come from socially underprivileged families and residential institutions, while the Romanian children are from families with a solid financial basis. The project is aimed at ensuring experience exchange at relational level. When involved in group activities, the children can develop their civil responsibility and team spirit.
The organizers of the event expect that the project will generate a homogenous and experimental team that will later share the accumulated experience with the project staff through a guide of good practices. There will be also produced a tourist guide about the most relevant cultural monuments of Moldova that will be visited by children. Later, there will be published a book of nice memories, which will be useful to children in the future.
The project was launched within the Romania-Ukraine-Moldova Crossborder Cooperation Program 2007-2013 that is financed by the EU through the European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument and is co-financed by the countries involved in the program.
“Amici dei Bambini” Moldova is one of the 25 branches of the Italian Association “Amici dei Bambini”, working in 25 countries. During over 25 years, the organization has promoted every child’s right to a family. The Association started work in Moldova 13 years ago. In this period, it has implemented development cooperation projects and organized social-cultural events intended mainly for children from boarding schools.
