A group of 30 children from boarding schools of Moldova, including the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia and Transnistria, went to vacation in the Turkish town Marmaris. The children, aged between 9 and 14, will vacation there for 12 days, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the children were chosen from different boarding schools in concert with the Ministry of Education. The vacation program includes trips and cultural activities.
The visit was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with Moldova’s Consul General in Istanbul Veaceslav Filip and with financing from Moldova’s Honorific Consults in Bursa, Turkey, and in New Delhi, India.
This is the third visit of the kind staged for children from boarding schools or socially deprived families of Moldova.
