3 Romanians get caught while attempting to smuggle jewelry into Moldova

Three Romanians have been arrested at the Giurgiulesti border crossing point for attempting to smuggle jewelry into Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Border Guards Service, the jewels -- 141 pieces – were hidden inside an Opel. After the smuggled goods were unveiled, the Romanian citizens, aged from 28 to 40, tried to bribe the officers to escape punishment. Now, the case is being probed. The smuggled goods were handed to customs officers. The suspects may be punished according to Moldovan laws.
