3 people, including minor, drowned last Sunday in Moldova

Two people drowned on Sunday in two lakes in western Chisinau. All in all in Moldova, 4 people drowned, including a minor. The press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergency Service, Liliana Puscasu, has told Info-Prim Neo that a 55-year-old man having fun with friends near the second lake of La Izvor Park drowned as he was swimming. Another man, aged 22 and living in Ratus village, Telenesti district, drowned in the third lake of the same park. The cases occurred at la 15.30 and 18.30 respectively. A 16-minor from Colibas village, Cahul district, drowned at 16.00, in the Prut river. The corpse has not been found yet. A similar case happened to a 52-year-old man from Orhei, who drowned in the Nistru in Vadul lui Voda town. Emergency specialists say the main causes of getting drowned are swimming in unauthorized places, in state of inebriation or being alone. Since the beginning of the year, 39 people drowned in the country, including 18 children. this summer, 30 people drowned, including 14 minors.
