3 children, two of which were brothers, have drowned in a lake in Straseni district.
The press office of the Emergency Service, Liliana Puscasu, has told Info-Prim Neo, the tragedy occurred on Thursday, June 12, at noon in the lake of near Micleuseni village. Four children went swim. All of a sudden , Lucia Cernitchi, 11 years, began to cry for help. The Boldurescu brothers, Valeriu, 11, and Alina, 12, rushed to rescue their friend, but suddenly they panicked and drew one another to the abyss. The fourth girl, 11 years, ran for help to the village, found men on her way, who got the dead children out of water.
The names of the children were on the list of the day-time summer camp.
11 people have drowned in Moldova this year, 7 being children.
