Almost 8,000 consumers in 29 localities were still disconnected from the electricity grid this morning. The Ministry of Energy said that due to the precipitation, new accidents occurred in the network during the night, which led to the disconnection of other consumers in Ungheni and Falesti districts, but almost 5,000 were reconnected early in the morning, by 8 a.m., IPN reports.
According to data provided by RED Nord, over 5,500 consumers from 23 localities remain without electricity in Rezina, Floresti, Ungheni and Falesti districts. In Rezina and Floresti, the damaged portions are to be repaired today. The works will be resumed simultaneously with the snow removal because network sectors in the fields, with multiple conductor ruptures on damaged sections and pillars, cannot be accessed.
In the operating area of Premier Energy Distribution, six localities and about 2,300 consumers in Orhei and Criuleni districts remain partially affected.
Termoelectrica and CET-Nord reported that their generation units worked stably at normal parameters. As of 9 a.m., the heat temperature was increased from 71 to 72 degrees Celsius.
The Ministry of Energy also said that the natural gas transmission and distribution infrastructure operates in a stable mode.
