As of June until present, the government program “Start for the Young People” helped to launch 259 investment projects to the total value of over 41 million lei, IPN reports.
Through the agency of the program, the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development continues to provide concessions for realizing the entrepreneurial potential of the young generation. This way, young people aged between 18 and 35, who want to initiate or to develop a business, can benefit from consultative support and grant funding or a loan with a grant component.
The value of the financial package can be of at most 1.7 million lei and includes an 85% loan and a 15% grant component. The grant funding is of maximum 200,000 lei and is provided on condition that the young people secure an own contribution of 30%.
In a press release, the Government said that the aim of the program is to develop the entrepreneurial skills of young people and to increase the number of sustainable businesses in the Republic of Moldova.
