A man aged 25 from Sângerei district succumbed to COVID-19. The young man was admitted to the Bălți Clinical Hospital in a serious state on May 24, with acute respiratory failure caused by pulmonary edema, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.
COVID-19 also claimed the lives of two women from the districts of Ialoveni and Anenii-Noi and of a man from Ocnița district. They were aged between 58 and 64. The death toll now stands at 265.
As many as 256 persons infected with COVID-19 are now in a serious state and 19 of them were put on a ventilator.
Moldova has got 7,147 infections with COVID-19 so far. A number of 1,501 healthcare workers contracted the virus by now.
