25% of new 101 MPs are jurists

One quarter of the members of the 19th legislature are jurists by profession, by the calculations of Info-Prim Neo. Most of the MPs who are experts in law represent the PCRM – 11. The PLDM has eight jurists, while the PDM and PL – by three. The profession of economist comes second after jurist. The PCRM has nine economists, the PDM and PLDM – by four, while the PL – one. Seven of the 13 engineers who entered Parliament are Communists, four are Democrats, and two are Liberal-Democrats. The lawmakers also include ten historians. Six of them represent the PCRM, three the PLDM and one the PDM. Among the MPs are also teachers, philologists, specialists in public administration, diplomats, journalists, agronomists and doctors, a merceologist, a physician and a Bachelor of Theology. Seven of the 101 lawmakers are Doctors of Science, one is a Habilitate Doctor, while 18 have two or more university diplomas.
