25 new applications for financing approved within PARE 1+1 Program

The supervision committee of the PARE 1+1 Program approved 25 new applications for financing businesses started by Moldovan migrants who returned home or their relatives. The cumulative financing is 4.5 million lei, while the attracted investments will be 12.2 million lei, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Economy, five companies plan to invest in the production of fuel from solid biomass, palettes and wood packing. Nine enterprises intend to repair heating systems, install floors, provide dental treatment services, etc. Another ten businesses will be started in agriculture and need agricultural machinery. Applications were also filed for financing constructions and the development of an agritourist pension.

As many as 127 applications for participation were registered during the first half of this year. At the end of April, there were signed 66 contracts for providing non-reimbursable financing, which will attract investments of 46.1 million lei. The grants are planned to total 12.1 million lei.

Most of the companies that applied to the PARE 1+1 Program are from the Centru development region, the districts of Hancesti, Ialoveni, Anenii Noi, Straseni, Soldanesti, and the municipality of Chisinau. Only two companies applied from the northern region - from Balti and Soroca.

For this year, the PARE 1+1 Program has a budget of 32 million lei. The grants represent 50% of the investment, but not more than 200,000 lei.
