25 couples from Chisinau celebrated golden weddings

25 couples from Chisinau celebrated on Friday, July 28, their golden weddings. The event was held at the Wedding Palace, with the participation of local public authorities. They were congratulated by the representatives of the City Hall, who gave them flowers and material assistance of 500 lei. One of those 25 couples, who due to health problems could not be present at the event, will be receive congratulations at home. Vasile Ursu, the interim mayor of Chisinau municipality, said that the local public authorities take care of these couples that have the strength to respect and perpetuate, for half a century already, traditional values of the family, giving examples to their children and grand-children, and as well as for the whole society. Chisinau municipality has 1,674 half-a-century-old couples.
