A number of 2,143 polling places were established for the November 1 presidential election. Most of these will be situated in Chisinau electoral constituency No. 1, which includes the districts and suburban settlements of the capital city - a total of 305 polling stations, IPN reports.
The Central Election Commission said 139 polling stations are intended for Moldovans who are abroad, while 42 for the citizens eligible to vote from the localities of the Transnistrian region, Bender municipality and some of the localities of Căușeni district.
The electoral offices of polling stations will be set up by October 6 inclusive.
For the presidential elections of 2016, there were opened 2,081 polling stations, 100 of which outside the country.
