213,000 Moldovans have voted abroad

In the polling stations abroad, opened for the second round of the presidential elections, 213,000 Moldovans have voted as of nearly 4:00 PM, reports IPN.

According to data from the Central Electoral Commission, over 53% of the voters abroad are women.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that, compared to the first round, the number of voters in the diaspora has significantly increased at this hour.

Abroad, eligible citizens are expected to vote today at 228 polling stations, which have already opened or will open throughout the day, depending on each country’s local time.

In the Republic of Moldova, over 1.253 million citizens have voted so far, representing over 42% of the total registered voters on the electoral lists.
