204 houses in Chisinau are not supplied with heat

About one third of the apartment buildings in Chisinau have not been yet connected to the heating system. These houses are managed by privatized dwelling owners associations, homebuilding cooperatives and departmental organizations, SA Termocom director Mihai Cernei said Monday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Mihai Cernei said he is pressed by Moldova-Gaz and CET-1 not to use the natural gas in excess as the limit for October was already exceeded. “Termocom is not guilty that the heating season started earlier owing to the low temperatures,” he stated. In another development, the director said the 118 apartment buildings where the money is collected by association heads should make the payments at Infocom. The dwellers pay for the heating services, but the association heads do not transfer the money, Cernei said. The level of payments in five houses is 15-16%, while in the rest it is over 90%. According to officials of the Division of Education, Youth and Sport, the theoretical high school “Grigore Vieru” and kindergarten No. 71 are not yet heated, but will be connected to the system by Monday evening.
