The draft municipal budget for 2024 is finalized and will be approved when there is political will in this regard, the mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban stated in the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services on April 8, IPN reports.
“At this stage, I can say that this political will does not exist. We have informal discussions. Our goal is not to make shows in the Chisinau Municipal Council. But I emphasize that today, we have no impediment to the normal functioning of the Chisinau City Hall’s services, except for particular aspects related to activities in the suburbs,” explained the mayor.
According to him, today there are no salary arrears or delays in the implementation of projects the proposed for 2024. All projects planned for 2024 will be carried out, with or without an approved municipal budget.
