The Educational Advising Center has announced the launch of the 2018-2019 Scholarships for Your Future! program that offers 30 stipends of 10,000 lei each on a contest basis, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Educational Advising Center said the program is designed to support students who come from socially deprived families and to facilitate their access to higher education establishments.
The program is open to candidates from families with modest incomes, incomplete families or families with three children and more, young orphans, young people with disabilities or who remained without parental care or are under tutelage. They should be first-year students studying for a Bachelor’s degree at one of Moldova’s universities full-time.
The candidates will have an average grade of at least 8 in the admission contest. In the case of students who obtained a budget-funded place of the 15% quota, the average will be at least 7. The previous year beneficiaries, currently in the second or third year of studies, who can reapply for the scholarship, shall have an average grade of minimum 8.5 in social-humanistic sciences and 8 in exact, technical and medical-biological sciences.
The deadline for applications is November 30, 2018, 5pm. The application form and program regulations can be found at the Educational Advising Center’s website.
