Parliament passed the draft state budget law for 2014 in two readings. It provides for revenues of 25.6 billion lei, up 14.1% on this year, and for a total expenditure of 28.08 billion lei, up 18.9%. The budget deficit is 2.4 billion lei or 2.3% of the GDP, IPN reports.
Minister of Finance Anatol Arapu said the state budget expenditure for 2014 will be by about 19% larger than this year. The tax revenue represents the largest part of the revenues projected for 2014. They are followed by non-tax revenue, own incomes of special funds and special resources.
The 2014 GDP will be 106 billion lei, an increase of 4% on this year. Exports are projected to rise by 8.5%, while imports by 8%.
The national public budget expenditure in 2014 will be about 43.1 billion lei, by 4.9 billion lei larger than in 2013.
