Homicides – 129*
Homicides accounted for 0.42% of all the criminal
offenses. 0.8% of cases were committed by minors.
Most homicides were committed in Chisinau
(17 cases), Causeni (11 cases), and Ialoveni (9 cases).
No homicides were recorded in Floresti. Compared
with the same period last year, 19 fewer homicides
were reported.

Thefts – 11,828*
Thefts accounted for 39% of all the criminal
offenses. 791 more cases were reported than in the
same period last year. 5.4% of the cases were
committed by minors. 44.35% of the cases were
reported in Chisinau.

Sexual assaults – 279*
21 more cases were reported compared to the
similar period last year. Most cases were
reported in Chisinau (33 cases) and Causeni
(18 cases). 7 cases were committed by minors.

Domestic violence – 1713*
The number of reported cases rose almost
twofold, from 966 cases in the similar period last
year. 178 cases were reported in Chisinau, 140
in Causeni and 104 in Rezina.

Trafficking in children – 14*
3 fewer cases were reported than in the same
period last year.

Traffic accidents – 1,851*
On average, 7 accidents were reported daily.
There were 52 accidents per 100,000 population.
215 people died in traffic accidents.

Fires – 1364*
78 people died, and the value of the assets destroyed
by fires was estimated at 54.8 million lei.
