The 2014-2015 heating season in the municipality of Chisinau is coming to an end. Mayor general of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca ordered closing the heating season starting with April 10.
Contacted by IPN, deputy mayor in charge of the heating system Vlad Cotet said that the housing sector started to be disconnected from the heating system today. The public institutions, including the education and medical institutions, will be disconnected afterward. At request, the supply of heat can be restored, but it is rather improbable that such requests will be made given that temperatures of up to 22 degrees Celsius are expected the coming days.
The 2014 – 2015 heating season began on October 14 for the education and medical institutions, while for the housing sector on October 21. The supply of heat is turned off when there are minimum 8 degrees Celsius during three consecutive days.
