The Chisinau councilors didn’t manage to reach a consensus and agree the municipal budget for 2013 in the second reading. After four hours of debates and repeated breaks, the councilors asked postponing the issue until the next meeting that was set for April 2, IPN reports.
In the March 29 meeting of the Chisinau Council, there were presented the draft budget for the second reading and a report produced by the Transport and Communications Division. The Division’s head Adrian Boldurescu said the largest part of the investments – about 100 million lei – will be used to repair streets in Chisinau and to assemble trolleybuses.
The Communist councilors expressed their dissatisfaction with the fact that a number of division heads didn’t come to the meeting to explain the expenditure estimates and the planned budget revenues. Therefore, they asked that the meeting be put off.
