2,000 families in Moldova have benefited from the "Prima Casa Plus" program

Around 2,000 families in the Republic of Moldova have purchased homes through the government program "Prima Casa Plus." According to the Government, the total value of loans approved under the program amounts to 2.5 billion lei. The state, through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development, has guaranteed loans totaling nearly 1.5 billion lei, IPN reports.

The beneficiaries have an average age of 35 years. The prices of homes purchased through this program range between 400,000 and 2.5 million lei.

According to the regulations, the maximum annual interest rate for the period January 1, 2025 – June 30, 2025, is 6.70%, plus a guarantee fee. The components are:

Reference rate for the program, published by the National Bank of Moldova – 3.70%, maximum margin applied by the lending bank – up to 3%, guarantee fee – 0.4% annually of the guarantee balance

"Prima Casa Plus" was launched in August 2024 as a continuation of the "Prima Casa" program, which began in March 2018.
