A number of 200 families remained without the attic-like apartments in which they invested money two years ago. They said the managers of the construction company disappeared with 60 million lei and left them with debts of thousands of lei at a time when they have to live in rented accommodation.
One of the clients Natalia Lungu told a news conference at IPN that the company’s commercial name is “Neomansarde” (SRL “Neo Imobiliare”), whose director is Marcel Darie. The woman signed a contract with this company in 2012. The contract provides that the apartment will be ready in 2013. After she paid the whole sum for the apartment, the woman found out that the firm has a new manager. The new director promised that the attic-like apartments will be ready soon, but no family has yet moved to the new homes.
The deceived families sought help from the local authorities, but the authorities said they bare no responsibility. The court also didn’t do them justice. The Centru and Buiucani courts cannot agree which of them should examine this case, said the woman.
Tatiana Sibirtseva, another woman who remained without apartment, requested Prosecutor General Corneliu Gurin to determine the reasons for which his inferiors refuse to take legal action in this case.
Client Dumitru Lungu related that he bought an attic-like apartment at 18 Voluntarilor St in 2012. The construction was half ready. He signed a contract with representatives of the company, which stipulated that the construction works will be completed in half a year, but it didn’t happen so.
The victims said that neither the former director not the current one answer the phone and cannot be found. The people paid by €19,000-25,000 for an apartment. They called on the law enforcement bodies to investigate this case. The company’s former owners Marcel Darie and his brother founded a new company and more people can now become their victims.
