A man aged 20 from Cimislia town died in an accident on the R 13 road in the evening of October 21. Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Diana Fetco said the young man was struck by a truck. The truck driver didn’t stop to help, IPN reports.
Another accident on the R 1 road, in Sipoteni village of Calarasi district, claimed two lives. A speeding car with three occupants skidded off the road at a turn and overturned. The driver and one of the passengers died on the spot. A woman was taken to the Calarasi District Hospital in a serious condition.
The National Patrolling Inspectorate calls on the drivers to obey the speed limit and to fasten the seatbelt. The pedestrians are asked to cross the street only in authorized places.
